FBCC – Child Development Center was initiated in September, 1969 as a non-profit ministry of the First Baptist Church of Clarendon. Since that time, the Child Development Center has experienced steady growth and is now one of the largest Child Development Centers in Arlington County.
FBCC – Child Development Center is organized as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, and is governed by a Board of Trustees.
Our Mission: To provide a quality Christian preschool education designed to meet the physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of children ages three months to five years while their parents work. Creativity and interaction are encouraged among the children and staff.
Licensure and Accreditation
FBCC – Child Development Center is certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Social Services and the Arlington County Department of Human Services. The Center is subject to inspection by each of these agencies, as well as the Commonwealth and Local Fire Marshall, and the local Environmental Health Division. In addition, the Center has passed rigorous accreditation standards and is thus a member of the National Private Schools Association.
